Director dealings: Audioboom board members buy into price rise, Volex chair takes bonus
(Sharecast News) - Podcast producer and distributor Audioboom was among those on the list of director buys on Wednesday, after it made two disclosures. In the first, it said its chief executive officer Stuart Last picked up 5,281 of its shares at a price of 189.12p each.
"Following this purchase, Stuart Last holds 40,153 ordinary shares in the company, representing approximately 0.25% of the company's issued share capital," it confirmed in its statement.
Additionally, it said its non-executive chairman Michael Tobin had bought 5,128 shares, paying 185p for each of them.
"Following this purchase, Michael Tobin holds 764,563 ordinary shares in the company, representing approximately 4.7% of the company's issued share capital," it added.
Elsewhere, Volex confirmed that its executive chairman had increased his stake in the company by taking his annual bonus payment in the form of shares.
It said Nat Rothschild was awarded 118,069 shares, previously held by the firm's employee benefit trust, which were issued at a price of 289.5p each.
"Following the above transaction, Nat Rothschild is interested in 44,859,906 ordinary shares - save for unvested or unexercised awards - representing approximately 24.79% of the company's issued share capital," Volex said.
At 1622 BST, shares in Audioboom Group were up 10% at 209p, while those in Volex were 3.04% firmer at 288.5p.
