Director dealings: Audioboom chair invests, Babcock CEO covers tax bill
(Sharecast News) - Podcast producer and distributor Audioboom was among those on the list of director buys on Wednesday, after its chairman bought more than five thousand shares. The company said Michael Tobin picked up 5,128 ordinary shares on 8 August, in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.
Tobin paid 195p for each share, valuing the transaction at a total of £9,999.60.
"Following this purchase, Michael Tobin holds 774,452 ordinary shares in the company, representing approximately 4.7% of the company's issued share capital," Audioboom confirmed in its statement to the market.
On the selling side of things was Babcock International, whose chief executive officer sold a number of shares to cover a tax bill arising from the exercise of options.
It said David Lockwood picked up 168,824 shares on the exercise of nil-cost options, before selling 79,574 of them to satisfy tax, National Insurance and dealing charges.
Lockwood sold the shares for 375.5p each, valuing the transaction at £298,800.37.
As a result, Lockwood retained 89,250 of the option shares after the exercise and sale.
At the close on Wednesday, shares in Audioboom were up 5.13% at 205p, while those in Babcock International Group were 3.66% firmer at 391p.
