Director dealings: BHP discloses share purchases by chair, non-exec

(Sharecast News) - BHP Group had a couple of entries on the roster of director buys on Monday, after a large transaction was linked to its chairman, while a non-executive board member invested in American depositary shares. The company said MacKenzie Super Investments bought 6,095 shares on the ASX in Sydney last Wednesday.

It said they were purchased for AUD 40.98 (£23.95) each, valuing the transaction at AUD 132,204.11.

BHP said the shares were purchased by MacKenzie Super Investments as trustee for the MacKenzie Family S/F Trust.

Its chairman and non-executive director Ken MacKenzie is a beneficiary of the trust, and a director of MacKenzie Super Investments.

At the same time, BHP disclosed that non-executive director Gary Goldberg bought 1,000 American depositary shares on the NYSE in two transactions.

Goldberg bought 500 ADSs for $56.91 (£48.20) each, and another 500 for $56.6472 each, making for a total of 1,000 shares at an aggregated price of $56.779 per ADS.

Each of BHP's American depositary shares represents two ordinary shares in the company, with Goldberg also making the purchases last Wednesday.

At 1435 BST, shares in BHP Group were up 0.57% in London, at 2,399p.
