Director dealings: Supreme CEO invests, Rank Group chief covers tax bill
(Sharecast News) - The chief executives of two companies, Supreme and the Rank Group, made significant dealings in their respective firms, according to disclosures made on Wednesday. Sandeep Singh Chadha, the chief executive officer of the AIM-traded Supreme, executed a series of transactions increasing his stake in the company.
The dealings were divided between two entities associated with Chadha - Supreme 8 Limited and the Chadha Discretionary Trust 2020.
Through Supreme 8 Limited, wholly owned by Chadha, three purchases totalling 220,000 shares were made between 29 September and 2 October, with prices per share ranging from 123.862p to 126.674p.
The Chadha Discretionary Trust 2020, classified as a person closely associated (PCA) with the CEO, also acquired 170,000 shares on 29 September and 2 October, varying between 117.8778p and 128.15p per share.
Following the transactions, Chadha had a beneficial interest in 67,266,845 shares of the manufacturer and distributor of fast-moving consumer products, equating to 57.34% of Supreme's current issued share capital.
Meanwhile, at the Rank Group, chief executive John O'Reilly vested shares under the company's long-term incentive plan for 2010.
On 2 October, the third and final tranche of a block award, granted on 28 June 2018 and contingent on a four-year performance period ending on 30 June 2021, vested to O'Reilly.
A total of 32,418 shares were vested to the CEO, of which 15,237 were sold at 80.2p per share on 3 October.
The sale covered tax liabilities emanating from the vested shares, leaving O'Reilly with 17,181 shares retained post-transaction.
At 1624 BST, shares in Supreme were down 6.27% at 110.6p, while those in the Rank Group were off 0.74% at 80.4p.
